Osteopathy

Osteopathy is a recognised system that uses a combination of diagnosis and treatment for a wide range of medical conditions as well as prevention and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal disorders

Medical Acupuncture

Medical acupuncture is a therapy involving the insertion of fine needles; it is an adaptation of Chinese acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, and the principles of evidence based medicine.

Taping

Kinesiology tape works (when applied correctly) by lifting the skin from the tissues below it. When tape is applied, it causes compression or decompression of these areas, allowing it to alter pain signals to the brain and facilitate lymphatic drainage.

Sports Massage

A sport massage uses techniques from other massage styles to provide a treatment that manipulates the soft tissue to prevent injury, improve muscle or tendon pain and rid the tissues of any stress they are holding.

I’m a fully qualified Osteopath with qualifications in Sports Massage, Taping & Medical Acupuncture. After working in a number of clinic over the past five years I have followed my dream of opening my own clinic. Surrey Sussex Osteopathy is based in the leafy village of Ewhurst. I was so anxious in the lead up to the appointment, but Annie instantly put me at ease and talked me through everything that was going to happen. The appointment was so thorough and covered so much I hadn't even noticed was bothering me. Annie gave me a tailored exercise plan and booked another appointment for me to sort out my terrible back pain too. I was recommended Annie by my sister in law and she fit me in the same day my back went out. A couple sessions, some taping, stretching & 2 weeks went by and I was competing in a strongwoman competition lifting over 150kg. Yes, Annie is that good!!

Recently, the day before my wedding, my back was in agony and Annie fit me in that evening to make sure I could get down that aisle and spend the day pain free (and she succeeded!).

Over the last 4 years myself and my wife ( late 40's ) as well as our 19 year old son , madly info football and 16 year old son attending a college where he does dance have all used Annie for a number of different conditions. We have always felt an immediate improvement after either one or two sessions. Over the last 20 years, having had spinal surgery, I have used a number of different Osteopaths and Chiropractors before I fortunately come across Annie and I can say she is by some distance the best I have used. I have also recommended her to my sister who has now used her and highly recommends her too. Having first visited for lower back and general issues relating to poor posture, my body became far better at tolerating increased amounts of exercise.  Later suffering with an Achilles injury,  she was instrumental in my rehabilitation and helping me being able to able a long-term goal of completing a half marathon.   Her personable nature and support between session with recommendations of exercises etc proved to me that it is not just a job to her, but a real investment in her patients. Having never experienced an osteopathic treatment before I was a little worried but Annie always made me feel relaxed and comfortable.  I began to really enjoy our sessions, chats and even the acupuncture but soon my issues were resolved (having been to a physio and chiropractor previously too), and I am now empowered to manage any niggles with the exercises she gave me.
